The hour a coach spends standing next to you isn’t the part that changes your body. What changes it is everything running underneath: the structure that keeps moving when you’re busy, adapts when your body does, and catches what isn’t working before it costs you a month. That’s the engine, and it runs whether I’m in the room or not. It has a name, the Coach Sammi Method: progressive strength training, whole-food nutrition, sustainable habits, and the mindset to actually keep going.

It’s nothing like a meal-plan PDF that gets downloaded once and never opened again. A PDF can’t watch your squat. A Facebook group doesn’t know your numbers. A plan off the internet wasn’t built for you.

If you live outside Perth. Anywhere in Australia, anywhere in the world. Regional WA, a remote site, interstate, overseas. This program is built for you, and the system doesn’t get compromised because you’re not local. You get the same training, the same nutrition, the same check-ins, the same coaching as anyone training with me in person.

If you’re in Perth but you don’t need the in-person sessions to train. Maybe you’ve worked with a PT before and figured out that the program, the nutrition, the structure, and the accountability are what you actually needed from them. The in-person hour wasn’t the part doing the heavy lifting for you. Online gives you the rest.

If your schedule shifts week to week. Shift work, work travel, a roster that changes every fortnight. If locking in a recurring weekday is more stress than support, Online removes that problem entirely. You train when it works for you, where it works for you. The check-in call goes in your diary at a time that suits you that week, not a fixed slot you have to defend.

How Online Coaching Works

No mystery to how this works. Here’s how we start, and how it runs.

  1. Free strategy session. We talk through where you’re at, what you’ve tried, and what you actually want. Over video or phone, whichever suits. No pressure, no pitch.
  2. Movement and strength assessment. If you can get into Perth, we do this in person at Doherty’s Gym. I watch how your body actually moves, what’s strong, what’s stuck, what we work around. If Perth isn’t on the table, we cover it on a call instead.
  3. Your program and nutrition get built. I build your training and your nutrition plan from scratch, around your body, your goals, the equipment you’ve got, and your real life. Both load straight into your app.
  4. Coaching starts. Your program and nutrition are in the app. Your weekly check-in call goes in the diary. The message channel opens. You start training, and I’m in the loop from day one, not handed a plan and left to it.
  5. We adjust as you go. Every week we go through what actually happened, your training, your nutrition, your sleep, the videos of your lifts, and the next block changes with it. Nothing stays static.

What Makes Online Coaching Work

Geographic and schedule freedom. Train at your home gym, your work gym, a hotel gym, wherever you’ve got access to weights. Train at 5am or 9pm, a Tuesday or a Saturday. The format moves with you instead of pinning you to a fixed appointment.

You become the operator, not the operated-on. This is the honest trade-off. Online asks more of you in self-direction than In-Person does. In return, you get freedom and full ownership of how you train. You’re not waiting for someone to drag you to the gym. You’re showing up because you decided to. When that match is right, Online runs as well as any in-person program I deliver.

There’s a real coach behind this, not a template and not an algorithm. I’m not running this from theory. I lost 30 kilos myself and built the strength I’ve got now the same way I’ll build yours. Over ten years and more than 50 women later, yes, I’m Cert IV qualified, but the part that actually matters is I’ve been where you are. Commitment and Flexibility

No sessions to schedule, just rhythm to maintain. There’s nothing to book and nothing to cancel. You keep a simple weekly rhythm, train, check in, adjust, go again, and it just keeps running.

Pausing properly when life genuinely demands it. If you get knocked offline for a real stretch, we pause properly instead of letting you limp along half-engaged. I’d rather pause it than hold you to a program you can’t use right now.

Billing fits the way the program runs. Pay weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, whichever suits your cash flow. The amount stays the same. You’re paying for the coaching relationship, not a session count. Whether you train four times this week or zero, the program, the nutrition, the check-ins, the access to me all run continuously.

Who This Isn’t Built For

I’d rather point you somewhere that fits than sell you something that won’t stick. Here’s where I’d point you instead.

If you’re a complete beginner who’s never lifted seriously. The gap between watching a form video and actually doing it under load is bigger than people think. You’ll learn faster, safer, and with more confidence by starting In-Person, even if you have to travel to do it. Once the basics are locked in, Online becomes a great fit.

If you know you won’t train without a booked appointment. Be honest about it. If your gut says you need someone expecting you in order to actually go, don’t pay for a program that depends on you training without one. In-Person is built for exactly that. You’ll get more value from the weekly appointment than from a structure that asks you to be self-led.

If you’re in Perth and want a coach physically reviewing your form regularly. Hybrid gives you that without the weekly commitment. Two monthly in-person sessions plus everything Online includes, at better value if you’re actually going to use the in-person time.

How do you know my form is correct if you’re not in the room?

You send me video. We have a system for it: clear instructions on which angles to film from, where to set the phone, what to capture. I review the footage and respond with specific corrections. It’s not the same as me standing next to you, but it’s also not blind coaching. The form check is genuinely thorough, just delivered differently.

Is online personal training worth it?

Depends what you’re paying for. If “online coaching” means a PDF and a templated plan you never open again, no, that’s not worth anyone’s money. Where it’s worth it is when there’s an actual coach behind it: a program built for your body, your nutrition sorted, your form reviewed, and someone going through your week with you and adjusting what isn’t working. That’s the part that gets the result, and it works just as well remotely as it does in person. The one time it isn’t worth it is if you know you won’t train unless someone’s physically expecting you at the gym. If that’s you, In-Person is the better spend.

Can I lose weight with online personal training?

Yes. Weight loss comes from the training, the nutrition, and actually sticking to both, and all three are what you get, wherever you’re based. Whether the coaching happens in a gym in Perth or through your phone wherever you are, it doesn’t change what drives the result: the strength program, the nutrition built around your real food, and a coach reviewing it every week. What I won’t do is promise you a number on a timeline. What I will do is build weight loss around training that makes you stronger and a calorie deficit that doesn’t leave you miserable, the kind of eating you can actually live with, so what comes off has a reason to stay off. We’d map out what that looks like for you during the strategy session.

Can I come in for the occasional in-person session if I’m in Perth?

Yes. Perth-based Online clients can book occasional one-off in-person sessions on top of the program. If you find yourself wanting them regularly, the Hybrid Program is probably the better structure and we can have that conversation.

What if I need to pause for a while?

Message me and we’ll sort it. If illness, a big life event, or extended travel takes you out for a while, we’ll put the program on hold rather than have you pay for something you’re not using. The aim is results while you’re in it, not a payment ticking over while you’re not.

What happens at the free strategy session?

We have an in-depth conversation about where you’re at, what you’ve tried, and what you actually want. Then we do a movement and strength assessment, in person at Doherty’s Gym if you can get to Perth, or on a call if you can’t, so I can see how your body is moving. Then we work out whether Online is the right fit or whether one of the other programs would serve you better. No sales pressure. If it’s not the right fit, no hard feelings.

Is this the right fit for me?

That’s exactly what the free strategy session is for. We go through where you’re at and whether Online actually fits, and if it doesn’t, I’ll tell you straight and point you to In-Person or Hybrid. I’d rather send you to the right program than sign you up to the wrong one.
